2nd Trimester

third doctor wish me luck

I'll try to make this short.I've had the same obgyn for 13 years now. He decides to leave the practice but refered me to ine of the other doctors.  It took me almost a month to get an appt with this doc,so I'm thinking she must be good.B4 my appt,I start to bleed,go to ER they put me on bedrest and said to follow up with my doc in 2 days. She still wouldn't see me until my appt. She didn't listen to any of my concerns, and for me to have a tear in  my placenta, the exam was over way to quick for me.She said we'll call you.

So my friend who has four babies suggested that I go to her doc. I know three other ladies who went there as well.Took another month to get this appt. That was ok since I didn't have another appt with my doc for 4wks any way. So I'm all excited b/c she's supposed to be one of the best.I get there and she says we don't have your medical records yet and I don't wanna repeat anything that your doc has done. So explain to her about the tear in my placenta. She doesn't examine me,or measure my stomach.I complained she gave me an ultrasound and sent me on my way.

So today is another shot at another doc. Wish me luck

  • Oh my God! WTF? Who the hell does that? I can tell you from experience that I had a similar issue. At 10 weeks I woke up bleeding (not spotting) so we went to the ER. The ER doc never examined me. I was sent for an ultrasound and bloodwork was done, the baby turned out to be ok but on top of that I was released with MISCARRIAGE paperwork. I was in tears when I left. The doc that came by to talk to my husband when I was in the u/s told DH blew it off as spotting as though he knew better than me the difference between bleeding and spotting. I bled for 3 days.

When I got the bill, an ER doc signed off as though he had done a pelvic exam. I was so freaking mad. I so wish you could come to my OB, she is awesome and she loves to talk/listen.

Get a different doc. You need one that will listen though you sound like the ones you got were related to my ER doc. Goobers.

  • GL with this new one. I switched as well and I am glad that I did. I wasn't receiving good care and neither was my little one.
