review Smartipants

I ordered 1 smartipants to try and since people have been asking about them I thought I would post an initial review. DS has only worn it once so far so it's just a first impression.

The diapers deffinitly look cheaper than BGs in therms of the snaps and how they are made. They look okay though. 

Fit: the leg holes seem really big. DS thighs are kind of normal I think not really skinny and not chubby. I couldn't get it to not gap. even though I had it on the smallest setting. The waist snaps didn't allow for a good fit. I couldn't really fasten the second snap on the wing in a place that was usefull I was able to fasten it but only right next to the other one which left the wing folded an sticking out.

Absorbency: I think they are just about as absorbent as BGs. But I have only used it once and it was during the day so I can't be sure.

Stuffing: I actually liked the sleve thingy that you stuff the inserts into. I find that stuffing pockets can be difficult in that the microfiber or whatever dosen't glide over the PUL. Not a problem with smartipants.

One thing that I didn't like was that the sleve seems a little too short to me. I could really keep the microfiber from touching DS when it was in the sleve. It stuck out a little at one end. Which you obviously don't want with microfiber.

We will have to see if it comes out of the sleve like it says it does. it is headed for the washing machine tonight. So overall I think it seems useable but i kinda doubt I will be buying another one.
