We are still TTC but if that was the situation, we'd just use our two favorite boys or girls names. I wouldn't try to "match" or use the same sounds or anything. They shouldn't be treated differently than same-sex siblings. For example, our favorite girls names at the moment are Abigail and Caroline, so that would probably be it.
Congrats to you! That is very exciting!
Baby #3 is on the way! EDD 3/8/15 DD1--8/29/10 DD2--11/6/12
I would name them 2 names that I like. Or a name I liked and a name my H liked.
I am not into matchy matchy names for any child in my family. I don't really believe that kids in a families names have to "go together". 2 kids have different and seprate personalities, so should their names.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

We would just go for our two favorite names of each gender. Now that would come out to be Neil and Callum or Molly and Norah.
I don't get the whole matching sibling thing. I mean, if someone simply loves two names that start with the same letter, that's cool. (If we have two girls and a boy, they'll end up Molly, Norah, and Neil--two N names.) To be intentionally match-y though... nms.
Seriously, though, we wanted names that sounded good together but weren't matchy-matchy or confusing. For instance, we had decided on Evelyn, so we ruled out Eleanor because we didn't want two "E" names and didn't want an Ev and an Elle.
We didn't come up with two boy names. But probably would have picked two from this list: Oliver, Calvin, Benjamin, Isaac, Theodore, Henry

I'm not a fan of matchy-matchy names, either, but I like subtle connections. For example, picking two names that mean the same thing, or names that are from the same ethnicity. I don't really have any examples (I can barely come up with one boy name and one girl name as is) of what I would name them. Sorry, I just wanted to add some things to think about.
All middle names are family related: Christopher after Dh's best friend, Isaac for my brother that was stillborn, Clara after Dh's grandma, Ann after Dh's greatgrandma and his mom's mn. My Dd's mn is after my grandpa's sister.

Girls: Kate and Ella
Friend has twin boys in July: Lucas and Logan
Girls- Emma, Paige
Boys- Ethan, Alexander
Boys: Preston and Nathan
Girls: Reese and Whitney
Dh and my favorite names at the moment just happen to start with the same letters for boys and girls. Not intentional at all.
Girls : Sage (my fav) Skylar (dh's fav - blech!)
Boys : Jack and Jude or Jullian and Jude

I would name them my top 2 boy names and my top 2 girl names. The fact that they are twins has no bearing on me when it comes to names.
So, for example, Caroline and Elisabeth and Cole and Declan.
Girls: Scarlett and Tessa
Boys: Adam or Nathan and Brendan (for sure)
Boy/Girl: Tessa and Brendan
Boys: Ethan Jacob and Caleb Henry
Girls: Catherine Anne and Elizabeth Jane
Evelyn and Charlotte
Seriously, though, we wanted names that sounded good together but weren't matchy-matchy or confusing. For instance, we had decided on Evelyn, so we ruled out Eleanor because we didn't want two "E" names and didn't want an Ev and an Elle.

If I had my way, girls would be Elsa and Laura, and boys would be Silas and Harlan. That's with no say from my H though.
1. Ty and Brady
2. Wynn and Sydney
G - Lucy and Molly
B - Levi and ? I don't like any boy names!
Boys: Salvador and Santiago, because I like both names but it came down to either or when we thought we might have a boy (we ended up with a girl).
No names come to mind for girls, we already used our first choice names for DD's fn & mn, but I guess I would have given DD's twin sister her mn?
Cole Christopher & Nathaniel Isaac
Mallory Clara & Cordelia Ann
All middle names are family related: Christopher after Dh's best friend, Isaac for my brother that was stillborn, Clara after Dh's grandma, Ann after Dh's greatgrandma and his mom's mn. My Dd's mn is after my grandpa's sister.

Boys: no idea, we can barely decide on one boy name.?
Elliott and Nathan
Elianna and Felicia
Boys: Tristan and Jameson
