Pregnant after a Loss

Birthing Class

If you are considering taking a hospital tour or a birthing class...do it! DH and I had ours this weekend and even though it was 9 hrs long we both really thought it was worth the time and the $80. First of all it was super cute to be in a room with 12 other pg ladies all about as far along as me. Second of all it was really re-assuring to my husband to find out his thoughts etc. were the same as all the other husbands.

Now we have a lot better idea of what to expect, how to breath etc.

Re: Birthing Class

  • Dh and I have our 1st class on 9-17 and Im really looking forward to it. We're taking it through a private business that is recommended through the hospital. I've always heard from friends that the classes through the hospital are just painful but I wanted to take a class.

I'll have to let you girls know how it goes!

  • I am actually really looking forward to ours!  I know DH is dreading it, but I'm really excited to learn about things I don't know and to get the tour of our hospital's maternity ward.  Plus, DH knows NOTHING about the delivery process, so it will really give us a chance to talk about what we want and will empower him to speak up on my behalf if I am unable to.

  • We will def. be taking them.  Our hospital has the birthing class, infant, CPR, Daddy class... tons of fun classes to take.  i know we will do the Birthing and CPR calss for sure.

My mom used to tach them at her hospital when I was younger and I was my sister's coach, but I know it will be VERY different this time around and I want to make sure DH feels as comfortable as possible.
