Babies: 9 - 12 Months

It's 5:50 and DS just fell asleep in the stroller- WWYD?

DS has had a LONG day. We went to a wedding and reception. His morning nap was an hour and he's pretty much been up since 11a! He napped maybe 20 minutes in the car but that's it. I just took him for a stroll and when we got home, I realized he was asleep so I put him in his bed and took his shorts off and he didn't budge. Is he asleep for the night?? Or should I wake him in 30min or at all? Yikes.

  • Thats a tough call. I would probably wake him in an hour & just deal with the late bedtime. If that was Lilly, she would go to bed later but wake up on time which is fine by me:) GL!

  • I'd probably wake him in 30 minutes. ?I can't tell you if he's asleep for the night, but I'd fear he'd wake up in the middle of the night and want to play.
  • Oh boy, this has never happened before. I have no idea how we've made it 9 months without this happening but we did. I'll give him a little longer and will do dinner and a bath. Thanks!
  • I wouldn't wake him.  DS has gone to bed as early as 6 before.  What time does he usually go to bed and how long does he sleep?  The poor little guy must be so tired.

Oh there's no doubt he's worn out. With all the commotion, it was impossible for me to get him to sleep even with me holding and swaying and humming in a dark, quiet room.  :)  He normally goes to bed about 7 but last night, he was in bed at 6:30 so I might just leave him.

  • i'd leave him. we had a long day today as well and max napped from 8:30-11 and he's been up ever since. he started showing sleepy cues at 5:45 and so we started winding down and he was in bed early tonight.
