Help me think of some creative nickames for Patricia. It's my mom's name, and I love the full name, but I'm not loving Patty, Pat, Patsy, Tricia, Ricki....
My mom goes by Pat now...she hated Patty growing up. Not a fan of Tish at all. And I guess if you want a nickname totally different (but loosely based) I would use Patricia as a middle name and find a first you really love : )
We considered Patrick for DS...so maybe something to consider down the road for you since Patricia is a bit outdated.
Okay, you may want to flame me but I think it's cute. I met a German mom thru a local organization who named her daughter "trixie", after a beloved family friend. I think it's adorable. But, to each his own!
Unless you're Hispanic and pronouncing it "Pa-trees-ee-uh" then it's a stretch. You could do Reese Patricia. Tia is OK but NMS.
My mom's name is Patricia and I love her dearly but I wasn't going to name any of my kids that name, at least as a FN.
I think for the most part naming someone a FN after someone and then using a totally different name says, "I love you, but I really, really hate your name."
Other options--does your mom have a cool maiden name or middle name?
Re: Nicknames for Patricia
My mom's name is also Patricia! My middle name is Patrice, after her but slightly different. Not sure how you feel about that one.
I think Reese is a stretch. What about Patricia as the middle name? Or some form of it as the mn.
I like Tricia.

trish would be my nn for patricia.
I think Reece is way too far of a stretch.
"The House We Built."
A journey of building the dream.
