Anyone know anything about Tamoxifen?

I finally, after long months of waiting, got into the damned RE on my new insurance and we have a plan going forward but I know nothing about Tamoxifen other than its an anti-breast cancer drug (spooky) and am going to start researching but thought I'd talk to my ladies first ;)

I was told its a "sister drug" to Clomid, nearly chemically identical but with a lower chance of the visual distrubances I experienced on Clomid (which means I can never be on it again apparently).

Any and all info is welcome and desired!

    Hope you don't mind me posting but i took it once in conjunction with an IUI..They took me off clomid b/c it thinned my lining..Tamoxifen didn't..Tamoxifen did help thicken my lining..I had less s/es on then i did clomid..

    From my understanding Tamoxifen and Femerra (sp?) are the same drug but different manufacturers

    I believe jmkatz who is now on SAIF now got her BFP with tamoxifen, you might want to try posting over there too.

    I was on Tamoxifen one cycle because my RE thought Clomid was thining my lining (later we found out it wasn't due to Clomid).  I didn't O that cycle and have never taken it since.  I don't remember having any side effects on it, but I think I was on a pretty low dose of it.
