A/S MONDAY I CAN'T WAIT. Though I do get nervous before every appointment. I'm just so excited to have another look on baby and make sure s/he is healthy. And if we're having a little boy or girl!
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Rant: I'm super tired today, I slept terribly last night. Rave: I'm getting a haircut today. It's necessary.
5) GTKY: Father's Day is tomorrow, what do you have going on? If FTM, are you celebrating yet? We didn't really do anything for Mother's Day...I brought up going to Newport, RI tomorrow and DH was all "I thought I got to pick what we do because Father's Day!". So, unsure because he hasn't even decided on anything haha.
Good! Tired from working too much but otherwise much more myself.
3) Any appointments this week?
Regular prenatal Monday morning. Nothing too exciting but it'll be good to hear the heartbeat since I'm still not sure if I'm feeling movement or not.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I have to stay up an extra 4 hours this morning to pick up our nursery furniture. Yay furniture but I'm so tired!
5) GTKY: Father's Day is tomorrow, what do you have going on? If FTM, are you celebrating yet? we aren't doing anything, I work this weekend and my dad lives out of state.
Slowly feeling better! Still get nauseous at night, but only had a couple hard days this week! And starting to feel baby a bit more consistently which has helped my anxiety go down a bit!
3) Any appointments this week?
I had my 16 week last Monday. It was soo quick. Just heard the heartbeat, doctor was surprised at how much I felt baby already, and they checked my vitals and then I was off. And I got approved for switching to flinstones chewable vitamins which don't make me sick like prenatal ones do.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
My DH gets off early every Friday all summer!!! So we are spending all the time we can up in the mountains! I'm not a big camper, but I love how ds turns into this little mountain man and we go have a small campfire and cook and play for hours up there. Lol last night we came home with ds absolutely covered in dirt and it was wonderful.
5) GTKY: Father's Day is tomorrow, what do you have going on? If FTM, are you celebrating yet? probably will make him a good breakfast, give him a card and I just got a very small gift. We will probably go to church (unless he wants to sleep in) and spend some time with in-laws too, but that's a normal Sunday.
pretty good, I had a few rough days this week but I'm okay now
3) Any appointments this week?
Nope
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I found out I am having a boy which I wasn't expecting and was way more upset than I thought I'd be. I'm definitely warmed up to the idea now (thanks to me friends) and feeling a lot better after I got to do some nesting. We still aren't telling anyone though.
5) GTKY: Father's Day is tomorrow, what do you have going on? If FTM, are you celebrating yet? DH already has 3 kids so we celebrate father's day every year. Due to just a series of very unfortunate events doubled with terrible timing he's already sad this weekend and only 2 of his children will be seeing him that day (if that) as this is the first weekend that they are legally allowed to visit their mom and sleep at her house. Because of that I've gotten stuff for all his favourite dinner tonight (and chocolate strawberries for dessert) and I'm hoping I'll have time to nip put today to grab some sort of baby boy clothes that says something about "my daddy". I also bought him two superhero shirts (i think caption America and the flash) and a book about spiderman (he loves superheroes and comics). I'm hoping I'll be able to cheer him up but I think the only thing that would do that is if my step daughter came back ( she's been gone since Monday and it's been really hard on us, but him especially) Eta: apparently she's been staying with her mom so it's not like she's a missing person, but she is refusing contact with us and we are very confused because literally nothing happened there wasn't even an argument. she just went to school one day and then didn't come back to us.
I feel great! Just experiencing some RLP but no sickness and I'm starting to feel more energized. I think I may be feeling baby girl. Last night I had a pop feeling, like popcorn in my belly. I'm still not convinced it's LO but I know she's doing well in there because I use my doppler every few days.
3) Any appointments this week?
Yes, Monday. Just a regular OB check up. My A/S will be 3 weeks from Monday.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: DH was traveling Monday-Thursday this past week for work. Being a single mom of an almost 2 yr old for those days was difficult! I never realized how much DH contributes until he's not here to help. He's also traveling this Monday-Friday! Ugh ... I've decided to travel back home for the week. When we travel back home we stay with my MIL so she will be there to help with DS. Plus I'll get to visit with family and friends. I'm excited!
Rave: I have a hair appointment on Wednesday. I always get excited to get my hair done. I still travel back home to get my hair done. Haven't found anyone down here that I'll trust to touch my hair.
5) GTKY: Father's Day is tomorrow, what do you have going on? If FTM, are you celebrating yet? DH and I don't make a big fuss over any "holiday" other than Christmas. To us, it's just another day. I love to decorate the house for holidays but that's about the extent of it. But, I did get him a bunch of presents. His birthday is next weekend so I'm just giving him all of his presents tomorrow. I'm really excited to give him his gifts! I really went all out and got him some amazing gifts. His mom came down this weekend for a visit which is nice. Gives us a little break since DS is glued to her the whole time she is here.
1. 16 weeks! Avocado in there! 2. Okay ish. The migraines are killing me and I had one day this week of being week 8 level sick (idk if you guys remember but week 8 I couldn't get out of bed alone) 3. Monday. They said we aren't getting an ultrasound but I fell down the stairs today so I'm probably going to make them give me one anyways just to be sure. 4. Falling sucks and was the scariest moment of my entire life. I broke at least my right big toe but fortunately didn't land on my belly. Still scared and obsessively checking for bleeding. I was supposed to second shoot a wedding today but I can't walk on my foot so the doctors DH works with won't let me work and I had to find myself a replacement. I'm not pleased. I love my work and I have never ever ever ever considered bailing like this so I'm in a crappy mood today. 5. My parents live like an hour and a half from here so normally we go to their house for such holidays but tomorrow they're spending the day here! Dad brother and husband going golfing while mom and I work on baby's crib, which was mine when I was a baby!
1. 18 weeks 2. Feeling okay. Super worn down after taking care of my kids from 5:30am-2pm then driving to work and working til mignught, 5 hours sleep, repeat the last couple days. And I've been exhausted and starving all the time lately anyway - growth spurt?? Still the nausea, but it DEFINITELY improved this last week! 3. Next appt is July 3 AS 4. My only rant is that DH has one brother who's the golden child and everyone's been waiting on him to decide about Father's Day plans. Well, surprise surprise they're going to his father in laws (his wife calls the shots) so it was assigned to our house a couple hours ago. Which is a disaster because of pregnant+little ones. Can't wait to be a hostess;) phew. That feels better. Now I won't need to vent in real life! 5. I guess that goes hand in hand with my rant? My dad and grandpas are gone, so we spend on the day on DH and FIL:)
@MississippiCatfish I've slipped back into exhaustion too, I don't know what it is! I was enjoying feeling back to normal. Also, hugs about your dad. My high school bff lost hers a couple years ago and I always think of her around this time of year.
2) How are you feeling? not so great, but hanging in.
3) Any appointments this week? I had one last week. Next would be my anatomy scan on 7/3
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? rant - I feel like I'm poisoning this baby. I had dental X-rays for an emergency problem this week and several shots of whatever they use for numbing. I'm maxing out on xs Zantac and xs Tylenol. And now the doc is having me take fioricet for migraines. This poor baby.
5) GTKY: Father's Day is tomorrow, what do you have going on? If FTM, are you celebrating yet? I'm not a FTM but he's a FTD. He's getting a card from my son, a card "from the baby", and my 6yo picked out a worlds best dad trophy. And inexplicably my mom bought him a car seat.
~Mom to an amazing Jan 2011 boy~ ~EDD Nov 18, 2017 with my IUI success story~
@DuchessOfCambridge Thank you! Much easier this year, vs last Fathers Day which was the first without him! I consider myself very fortunate to have a great Father in Law who has treated me like one of his own since the day I met him:) It helps.
20 weeks!!! *insert little shocked emoji with blue hands clasping face here* Banana from head to rump, but approx 10 inches from head to toe! So crazy!
2) How are you feeling?
Pretty good. Trying to give myself more realistic expectations as far as going easier on myself just for sanity's sake. I've started crying at basically everything these last two days so that's been... fun... DD is super confused. Haha!
3) Any appointments this week?
Tomorrow! (Tuesday) We have the AS which I'm super excited about but also slightly nervous cause we're team green and I'm hoping baby's uncooperative in the gender reveal dept just to make life easier on the techs/docs. I assume they know even if we don't...
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? -Thursday afternoon/evening the on-call doctor made me drive downtown and go to the ER for a nosebleed. I realize I'm pregnant and he did it out of a concern re potential anemia (I was fairly disoriented for about 2 hours after) but all my numbers came back fine and I was just super agitated that I literally went to the ER for a nosebleed and ended up missing DD's VBS concert... -I gave two weeks notice Friday and I'm SO excited but also really nervous about starting this grant program. I ended up having a mini panic attack Saturday and my mom and I laughed that the one thing that would send my generally realistic/pessimistic personality into a panic attack was the optimism of finally being where I've wanted to be for the longest time in my life. (have a family and work form home doing something I love) -I've been able to feel baby a lot more recently and it's been fun. Kinda feels like a 6 inch fish in there flopping every now and then and rolling a little. I do look forward to feeling more movement and am guilty of having researched "ways to make baby move." Though last night was funny as I was dead exhausted and finally getting to bed about 11:30, baby decided to trow a rave in my belly so I reprimanded baby (playfully) that it was bedtime.
5) GTKY: Father's Day is tomorrow, what do you have going on? If FTM, are you celebrating yet? DH woke up with a 101 fever and basically had the perfect Father's Day of being left almost entirely to himself all day! Haha! We had a couple little happies for him and will take him out to dinner when he's feeling better.
Can't wait to hear how your appt goes/went @DuchessOfCambridge! Thinking of you! @kaitieb14 So scary about your fall! Glad you're ok! @pawcall I've just determined in my head that if I feel better baby feels better and ignore the rest to make myself feel better (same experience re dental work, zyrtec, and xs Tylenol for the migraines). @bcashaw all the creepy internet hugs!
