Kohl's Maternity "Dept" sucks a$$....but...

ok so i went to kohl's today and like someone previously posted, the maternity "dept" at the store near me is a couple hodge podge-ish type racks near the intimates dept. after trying on a couple shirts (there were no skirts, and the pants/jeans were atrocious), i decided to meander into the women's dept and see if i could find some empire waist tops, or something so that the shopping venture wouldn't be a wash.

I SOOO HIT PAYDIRT. i bought a couple trapeze type dresses (with pockers, oooh i love pockets), and some really cute blouses that accentuate the bump and don't make me look bigger than i am. most of the items were "apt 9" brand. i WILL be going back, but not to the maternity "dept."

    I went to Kohl's to check out the sale racks.  I was able to find a few cute things in the maternity section (sale).  The pickin's were SLIM.  But, each item was less than $10 so I felt somewhat satisfied.

    I got lucky last week at ours and found two shirts (paid $25 total) but I searched a long time. Our maternity department, if you can even call it that is about 6 wall hooks and a rack in the corner of the infant section. It's really very sad but when you find something it's almost always on sale. Although really the whole store is like that. I'll have to go check out the women's section again, haven't looked there in a while.

    I've got several summer sweater type tops at Kohls off the regular clearance rack - maternity was nearly a bust, I did get a pair of capri pants but most of it wasn't me. The empire waist/longer top trend makes the "maternity wear" less neccessary luckily.

    yep "womans" depts. are my new maternity depts.    better selection and same styles.   i love that target and kohls call their 5 racks depts-seriousl!

    yea that store is eternally "on sale" i got 8 items for $165 incl. tax. not bad at all. hubby's taking me to the outlets in carlsbad tomorrow which has a maternity store. hopefully i'll be lucky there too.
