I was just taking a look at all of the forms my OB/GYN office has online. I know I've filled out forms about blood relatives before, but I've never really worried about it much. I'm just wondering has close of relatives they really want to know about. I mean, I know what a blood relative is, but my family is very close and I know my great-aunts & uncles very well, I know 2nd cousins well, so I know about a lot more medical conditions in my family - even if they aren't in my branch of the family, I share the same great-grandparents or other relatives with some of these people. I'm just wondering who they really want to know about on a form. My DH's cousin has down syndrome, is that close enough to put on the form? My great-grandpa was deaf, but no one has been since then, do I put that on form? Maybe this is a stupid question or maybe I'm just thinking about it too much, but it's one of those things I've thought about before and never bothered finding an answer.
It took 3 1/2 long years, but we finally got our little miracle!
