hair loss & miscarriage - NE1 else experience this?

Called my Doctor and he said it's not related but after both my sons were born my hair fell out. Which is normal in talking with other women. But about two weeks after my D&C my hair is falling out like crazy and it hasn't even grown back from when I had Gavin a year ago. This just totally sucks... having a BAD day....

    I lose TONS of hair all the time so I didn't really notice a difference after my m/c.

    My hair loss is finally starting to slow down now.  For a few weeks though, I lost a ton.  I blame it on the drop in hormones.

    The biology should be the same, but likely less dramatic the shorter your pregnancy.  Pregnancy hormones keep your hair from shedding normally, you "retain" hair.  Once the hormone levels drop, more of your hair will fall out.  (that hair that was "retained" during your pregnancy) it happens over a shorter period of time than the continual hair loss you experience when not pregnant, so it seems more dramatic.

    The sure-fire solution, it may be time to get a nice cut/style to clean it up if you're feeling not so great about how you look (therapeutic too!)

    I lost clumps of hair as I had my last m/c. But it stopped and all my hair grew back...I also have VERY thick hair.
