I need to vent.

I love pregnant ppl I really do. I am happy when they share their joy of the BFP. But it's a swift kick in the baby maker when they have to throw out the comment.. " I did it on my first try, AF didn't show and opps i'm pregnant"

I guess it should not bother me as much.. but after 5 years I'd like the opps i'm pregnant feeling. Wish ppl would stop and think and see who their adience is before posting..

    R u talking about people who aren't TTC?  The "I drank too much tequila and forgot my BCPs and oops" people? Or the "my DH and I decided to try to get pregnant and it happen on the first try" people? Or both?

    I guess i'm tlaking about both. The ones who all of the sudden thing i'm going to try.. and than throw out it was not as hard as I thought it would be.. or it didn't take that much time... or it's so easy...

    I hear you ...i'm so sorry..  Friends of mine, who accidentally got pg with their first, just announced that they accidentally got pregnant again..and he is due one week after their first son's 1st birthday..and she was breastfeeding...grr...

    I feel the same way! My (least) favorite comment I got from a friend was, "Yeah - it was our first half-a$$ed try..." Ugh!

    This person said it before I was TTC; however, one of our very good friends WAS at the same time and struggled for a period of time.

    I was actually curious about the OP... did these people know she is TTTC?

    Yes I have told ppl we have been trying and even on message boards (ones I frequesnt) they know I have struggled. I am not dowing anyone I congradulate all BFP's cause it's someone s dream but ti still hurts to hear that it happened like magic when other have not had that gift.

    Of course it hurts- regardless if anyone knows or not.

    I was just curious because if they know you are having trouble trying to conceive and that you have been trying for a while, the fact that they would say it in front of a woman suffering from infertility plains sucks.
