Baby Sawyer was born at 10:47 pm on August 24 at 39w3d!
6 lbs. 6 oz. 20 in.

My labor and delivery was a breeze compared to DD's l&d. My water broke at 4:20 pm (at work!!) and I didn't start having painful contractions until around 8:45 pm after some walking around the l&d wing. Got the epidural and delivered after about five pushes! Total 180 from my first delivery.
When they took him to the nursery, I had a pint of Ben & Jerry's Half Baked to celebrate the end of my gestational diabetes! 
My stay at NAMC was wonderful. I liked all the nurses except one in postpartum. The delivery rooms are nice and spacious and the postpartum rooms, although much smaller, are nice as well (much nicer than the ones at Seton on 38th!). Something random to note -- bring your own bath towel. (Their bath towels are super tiny and thin.) Oh and keep something in your car &/or at work to sit on in case your water breaks!

Congrats!! Sounds like you had a wonderful L&D experience!
(PS - I plan on working up "to the end" as well and having my water break at work is one of my fears....eek!)

Honestly, it kind of freaked me out!! I got up from my desk and thought, "I just peed in my pants.... wait... no.... I think my water just broke!!" Then I just kind of froze, wondering what I should do.
Finally called DH and he came to pick me up. I called a co-worker to walk out with me. I had a skirt on so it wasn't too obvious that liquid was going everywhere. It was kind of crazy!!

Congrats!! ?Love the name Sawyer and glad to hear everyone is doing well.
I had a laugh at your Ben & Jerry's comment. ?I had GD with DS as well and ate about 10 Reese's PB cups the night after having DS. ?;) ?Enjoy. Glad to hear the good review of NAMC, too!
