How many pjs/blankets?

I have no idea how many onesies, pjs, and blankets I need! There are different types of blankets too. I have 10 of the kind good for swaddling, they're kinda thin and made of the same kind of material as burp-cloths. I have several of the thicker more plush ones. How many of each do I need? TIA

Re: How many pjs/blankets?

  • i am the wrong person to ask!  I have snap up onesies for nightime and other oensies for daytime (its easier with the snaps at night, in case I have to change him during the night).  I would say I have about 10-12 sleepers.  I have light sleepers and ones that are a bitter heavier (terry cloth I think).  I guess my total is wrong, I have more than that.

You never know how many times you are going to change them and who wants to do laundry every day?  I have several blankets too....

  • We generally go through 1-2 onesies a day.  I dont use sleepers, I thought they were quit a hassle, we use swaddle-me blankets (he LOVES it) and I only use blankets to drape across the car seat or swing.

  • I would say you are good with the 10 blankets.  I think I have about 2 of the plush kind & really I only use those to lay on the floor when playing, never in the crib.  For pj's it really depends on you.  Since I have a summer baby I just keep whatever onesie he was wearing on for bed.  I have sleepers starting at 3-6 months.  Once it gets cooler I tend to keep the sleepers on during the day or most of the day so I would say at least 5 sleepers/pj's would be good, unless you have a spitter & then you may want more.
