If you have 2 middle names...

If you have 2 middles names do you:

1. Hate it, don't mind it, does it pose an issue with legal doc?

2. Would you prefer a hyphen or no hyphen between the names?

DH really wants his grandma's name included in the middle name (already using my grandmother's which I'm not willing to drop) and I'm worried she will hate us for giving her two middle names.....thoughts!?

*side note, both names are only 4 letters each!

I have two - one is legal, one is not. I had a two-part last name as my maiden last name and that was difficult enough before adding in the middle names.

I have a friend with two middle names, she does not hypenate, nor has it posed any issues with documents. And she actually goes by the second middle name- not her first name

I knew someone that, everyone in their family had three middle names. So legal documents were fun to fill out, but he would just use the first one if they asked for an initial.

i have 2 middle names. i just added my married name on, so my maiden name became my 2nd middle name. it wasn't an issue as far as social security card or drivers lisence (sp?).

on all other documents, there's usually only one space for middle initial. i just use the first one. no problem so far.

and no, i would not hyphenate. obviously my middle names aren't the kind you'd hyphenate. and i did most definitely not wanna hyphenate my last name(s).

DH has 2 middle names and HATES it. With a passion. They are both his legal middle name- it's Robert Lawrence Thomas Lastname. So IMO, just pick one.

I have two middle names because I kept my maiden name and added it as a second middle. It's pretty pointless because you only get one spot for an initial on most documents so the second one kind of falls by the wayside so to speak.

I have two middle names. Vera May. Spelled just like that, no hyphen just a space. I've always used Vera May on everything legal but depending on what legal document you are filling out they will only allow for one middle initial which I have to go with the V. I love my two middle names honestly, I also love the story behind them and it gives me a little of a different identity. When they are short I think it's just as easy as one longer middle name.

We are in the same spot you are...we decided early on to give the baby the same middle name as me and then Dh decided that he wanted to incorporate both of our mother's names in thier as well. So our Lo will have two middle names. I was upset at first because I thought it would be too much but I figure they are not going to be written every time so it's more for the meaning behind them.
