What are your favorite indoor activites for your LO's? We're both bored with our gazillion toys and I really need new ideas. We go to the park, play in the pool, shop, run errands but then there is the rest of the day and we need things to do in the house. DD doesn't play much by herself yet and I want to encourage that too. Any ideas?? Thanks!
Re: Indoor activities for 15 month old?
to help keep Sarah interested in her toys, i put some away for a couple weeks and then switch them around. then it's like getting new toys again.
things we enjoy doing:
--coloring (or scribbling) with crayons or sidewalk chalk
--wooden puzzles that are meant for toddlers
--books
--playing with water (i get a bucket of toys with water toys)
Puzzles are definitely a big hit in my house
books
she helps me a lot with chores -- i will put her in the bathtub with no water and a washcloth and tell her to clean the tub-- while i clean the sink and toliet- hey it keeps her contained
and she helps folding laundry- i give her the dishcloths, she likes putting the clothes in the dryer
bubbles
she just likes to explore the different rooms
loves looking in mirrors
chasing our cats
walking up and down the steps
coloring
playdoh
finger painting
