OMG. So my cousin's fiancee recommended a couple books (I love to read) and the other day I just picked up a few she suggested.
The first one I started reading is called Geek Love.
What a surprise. Geek apparently has a meaning I wasn't aware of, and there's pregnancy, miscarriage etc...stuff that I won't go into.
If you're familiar with the book you know what I'm talking about..if not, you are warned.
I'll finish it, but I have to continously remind myself it's just fiction.
Re: BOOK: Geek Love
This is one of my favorite books ever, but the first time I read it (easily a decade ago - eons before I ever thought about being a mom), it absolutely flipped me out. It is SO crazy to think about the types of things the family does and how they adore the results. It really challenged my perspective on some things.
I haven't read it since my miscarriage; I wonder if it would hit me differently now.
