As long as I am eating something my m/s seems to go away... at this rate I'm going to be a huge whale. I have been trying to snack on saltines and healthy things but really this is ridiculous!!!!
I also am wondering if anyone has been burping a lot. I can't stop and they aren't cute little burps either they are man burps and quite embarrasing!!! Just wondering if I am not alone on this one!
Re: Anyone else feel better if they eat?
I was like you until week 9. If I ate every 2 hrs I kept that weird nausea away.
Week 10 brought on the gas & burping! Good times right? From what I understand, it's from our bodies trying to hold onto all of the food we're taking in and using as much of it as possible. Which causes it to sit and ferment in our stomachs (lovely right) hence all the air.
Ahhhh the things our Mothers never told us about being pregnant.
OMG, I've been waiting for someone to mention the burping! It's the indigestion (which is not the same as heartburn). Sometimes if my stomach is hurting, burping with help. It's just that your digestive process is slowed down so that your body can absorb as much nutrients as possible. It's also why you can't eat large meals any more. The snacking all the time is the only thing that keeps my m/s at bay as well.
BTW, saltines are not healthy - read the ingredients and avoid anything with "hydrogenated" or "partially hydrogenated" oils - they are worse than saturated fats. I think Triskets (sp?) are a good alternative. I've also been eating low-fat yogurt and bananas. Don't worry, you won't be a huge whale! Your calories are simply more spread out now, rather than lumped into 3 meals!
There have been several days where it seems that all I do is eat to keep the nausea away. Today, even the thought of eating is making me nauseous.
I've always had a problem with burping, I have acid reflux bad. But, it seems that it is worse now then before I was pg.
You have just described my experience thus far...you're not alone.
Oh, yeah, I'm eating constantly these days. My nausea oddly feels like hunger, and eating is the only thing that helps, but the feeling doesn't go away even after I'm full.
Fortunately, if it's like my first pregnancy, it should go away in a couple weeks after I'm in my second trimester.
The burping for me didn't start until later last time. I remember it being really bad in my third trimester.
