Baby Shower Help

Hi everyone,

I have a few questions about setting up a baby shower (if you don't mind sharing your opinions). Big Smile

1.  Is Saturday or Sunday better for a baby shower?

2.  Do you invite a lot work people?  I have a few close friends who I will invite anyway but if I start to invite a few outside of that I almost have to invite everyone.  Has anyone invited everyone (women) in their office before?

3.  Does anyone have recommendations for locations in the Mt. Lebanon, Scott, USC, southside, downtown areas?

Thanks so much!!

Re: Baby Shower Help

  • Mine was in the summertime and my sister held it on a Friday evening and that really seemed to work out well for us.  My bridal shower was on a Saturday morning and we served brunch and that also worked out really well as it was also in the summer and nobody felt like they were giving up a whole day to come to a shower.  I did invite co-workers but there were only 6 of us in the office that I worked in at the time.  It was a large company but I only invited the 5 ladies that I worked with the most.  I have a large family so didn't want to invite alot of people from work because we would have run out of room.

I have no idea about locations out that way as I live to the north.  I have a friend in West Mifflin so I'll ask her about locations out that way.

  • I had my bridal shower at Atria's in Mt. Lebanon last year, and they did a really nice job.
  • I had mine on a Sat. and a lot of people couldn't make it- if I were to do it again I would probably make it on a Sunday at 12 or 1 pm
(in case anyone goes to church).

I didn't invite anyone from my office- they had a seperate shower for me at the office. I would invite the few close friends tho.

No reccomendations for that side of town- good luck!

  • Either Sat or Sunday is ok, but if you have a lot of out of town guests you may want to make it on Saturday to allow for more travel time

I was at a shower at the Atria's in Mt. Lebanon, which was very nice.
