Is one better than another? I think I'm getting a little paranoid after finding out that my blasts didn't make it yesterday but I had two perfect (grade 1, 8 cell) embies transferred on day 3.

I think I'm nervous b/c if the blasts didn't make it, I can't get pregnant (even though that is NOT what the nurse said so I should probably listen to her :))

    I had the same thing happen. No embies made it to blast stage. I had 2 grade 1 embies transferred on day 3. One stuck:)

    They transfer the best contenders inside you, so whether or not the ones that were not transferred made it to blast does not indicate how the great ones inside you are doing. Many people never have any left over blasts, but as you can see, there are many successes out there.
    A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
    After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!

    Ugh. I had this debate too. With IVF #1, our 5dt didn't work, but with IVF #2, our 3dt DID work!

    You are a better incubator than a petri dish:)

    My 8 and 7 cell embies are currently bouncing away in their exersaucers.
