Not wanting bottle for last two days... teething?

My son is barely finishing half of each of his bottles, but is taking solids still pretty well.  Not sure why... did your LO ever do this? I am thinking perhaps it is from teething.  He is crankier than usual and every once in a while i see him running his tongue over his bottom gums (although i don't feel much there).

  • DS is teething and he doesn't really like solids or the bottle.  Before DS's teeth broke through I could see larger bumps under the gum but couldn't feel anything.  Maybe your LO's teeth are about to cut through.

This is exactly what is happening to my DS and his eating.  Not sure what it is either.

  • DD definitely took less formula from a bottle when she was teething.  I think the sucking motion wasn't to her liking.  Also recently, after her first two teeth broke through, she started doing this again.  She was on a stage two nipple (medium flow) and I moved up to the stage 3 (fast flow).  She has been fine since then and takes her regular amount of milk now.
