hummus?

DS loves chickpeas so I'm going assume he'll like hummus. I'm looking for easy lunch ideas for him to bring to the baby sitter and some sort of sandwich with hummus would work.....if he likes hummus? How do you give hummus to your DC?

DD will eat it out of the bowl if I let her. A lot of times I will give it to her on an open sandwich which she loves.

I do pita and hummus, hummus on a bagel or tortilla roll-ups.

I usually break a pita into little bite sized bits and then pre dip for her.

I do it spread on a bagel or give it to her w/ pita chips. DD LOVES to dip!

DD loves hummus! She usually eats it with cucumber or thin carrot strips, or tortilla chips. One of these days I'll try pita sandwiches.

Here's another tip: I sometimes stir pur?ed broccoli into the hummus to sneak in some more vegetables.

I let her suck it off crackers while we're eating it. Surprise

Super easy hummus recipe:

1 can chickpeas, drained

3 tbps Tahini (sesame seed paste)

1 tsp garlic powder

juice of 1/2 lemon

dash of vinegar

Process the heck out of it in the food processor, the creamier the better. I let it go for 3-5 minutes in there. Add S&P to taste.
