Or, more aptly, was the show. DD's daycare had a "recital" today (which is already hilarious because the kids go from about 10 - 24 months), but it kept getting rescheduled, so we didn't even know about it. Thank God I did not turn around and go home to get the bottle I forgot to give her before we left (b/c I was already late anyway) and that I had the sense to turn down Park Avenue which was oddly free of traffic to get her to her school in time. I just so happened to put a really cute outfit on her that she had never worn, and we literally got there when it was time for her class to go on "stage."
They sang "Wheels on the Bus." MY baby was the only one doing the moves.
The rest were either crying, looking bewildered at the crowd, or watching the parents sing the song to them while their teachers made a futile effort to move their arms for them! LOL The other parents just oohed and ahhed over Georgia's "interpretive dance." Even better yet, I just happened to have my digicam with me--and it's all on video! Woot!
Re: My big fat AW: My Baby Stole the Show!
YAY! Go mommy!!!! And i bet your daughter was sooo adorable!
Are you in nyc? I"m in staten island
Is it even possible she wouldn't have stole the show? She is after all Georgia Fierce!
Well, this is true. It's just that most of her performances to date have been spontaneous, and she's never actually been center stage before. I will try to post the vid on Monday (had to go from the recital straight to work). My posting skills are quite limited, I'm afraid.
Yep. We live in Harlem.
