Today I go downstairs so the girls can visit grandma and have breakfast with her (see...I'm nice
) and when we get there, she is coughing and sneezing. I say something about her having a cold and she says "I have the flu. Actually, it feels like the swine flu" Get.away.from.my.kids.
My vent is, if you think you have something like that, can you let ME know!!!! My kids haven't had the flu shot and I'm going back to work full time in a week and now is not the time for them to get sick.
Why wouldn't she call up and say, "I think I have the flu. Don't bring the girls down" ? Ugh. Worst is, she won't go to the dr and she doesn't cover her mouth or wash her hands unless I tell her too. Needless to say, she won't be watching the girls and I'm going to tell dh to tell her to go to the dr for the girls sake.
So Dh is going to come home early so he can watch the girls so I can go to work

UG! What a piece of work. If you have any questions about swine flu let me know Riley and i had it a month ago. It isn't that bad once you get over the fever which lasts 4-5 days. I hope you and the girls stay healthy!
I'm glad you both are feeling better. That must of been scary with all the horrible news reports (i'm sure they made it out to be worse than it actually is).
They are healthy kids and bouce back pretty quick when they get sick but the flu scares me a bit
.
When I was dx with swine flu I cried! It freaked me out and I really thought either DS or I wouldn't make it. But we are both otherwise healthy and so it was a lot easier than I thought. I still took him to the Dr to make sure his lungs were okay twice but that is just me being protective.
I would do the same thing.
