What do you like about it? Most importantly though, what do you NOT like about it? I'm weighing the options. We need a lightweight stroller and we bought a Chicco umbrella stroller for the cheapo price, but we're both over 6 ft. and we hit the wheels when we walk...it's no good. So we're back to looking for a stroller. I've heard some good and some bad things about the Zapp...so I thought I'd get it from real mamas.
Re: Anybody have a Quinny Zapp?
I love that DH and I don't kick the wheels. DH is 6'3," and we were using a Chicco umbrella for a couple of months. He was constantly kicking the wheels and so was I. Lili could get out of the harness, and I just didn't like it at all.
I love the Zapp. It pushes like a dream - I can do it with one finger while walking down the sidewalk! It folds up very compactly, enough so that I've been able to stow it under a bus seat, and I've read that it can be put in the overhead of an airplane. I wouldn't doubt it. It folds up very small. It also only weighs 13 pounds, so it's very light. I also love how it looks - it's very modern and pretty. The wheels are much thicker than a Maclaren, and I love that about it, living in the city. It comes with a rain cover, travel case with a strap, and a sun canopy that is removable. There is a nice padded five point harness that took ME a while to figure out, so I have confidence that my little Houdini won't get to it for a couple of years :P The braking system is great and very easy - you press on one peddle and it won't move at all. You press the other and you are back in business!
It does not recline, but that doesn't seem to matter. The seat is very deep, and Lili has had no problems sleeping in it.
The only things I don't love are the smaller basket and no cup holder for my water bottle. I knew this about the stroller when I bought it, though, and it's really not that big of a deal. The basket still fits my medium-sized diaper bag underneath, and I can usually get my water bottle there as well.
I **love** our Zapp. ?Super easy to fold and unfold, so it's great on the run with DS (I have no problem getting it out of the SUV and unfolding it while holding DS). ?DS seems very comfortable in there. ?It steers and turns really well. ?The wheels are great quality- not cheapie umbrella stroller wheels. ?DH is 6' and has no problems pushing it. ?Plus, it's cute- I like a good looking stroller. ?;)
The only negative for me is that if you want to put it in the travel bag (it comes with one) to gate check when flying, you need to pop two of the wheels off. ?Total PITA and since I mainly bought it to fly with, I was disappointed with that. ?I suppose I could just gate check it without the travel bag but I hate to see what it would come out looking like. ?The umbrella isn't huge on it, either, but since we don't use it for outdoors a lot (prefer our jogger for outdoor trips) that's never been a biggie to me.

We just got one a few weeks ago (thanks partly to Kelbrian and her raves!) and we really like it. We have a Maclaren Volo umbrella stroller, and DD is much more comfortable in the Zapp. The fold is really compact, but I think the best part about it is that it's just a better quality stroller. It can turn on a dime (I could do 360 degree turns with one finger), and it's not as flimsy as a regular umbrella stroller.
I wish it had a larger sunshade, but that kinda comes with the territory when you get an umbrella stroller. I also wish it had a cupholder, but we have a universal organizer for our Maclaren that straps onto the Zapp just fine, and that has cupholders.
