Let's talk nipples (TMI)

Ok so besides the fact that they look like saucers now (DH and I refer to them as satalite nips) and truly resemble the nipple on a baby bottle, I have noticed something new the past couple days.  When I get ready to take a shower and so obviously am getting undressed, I notice that they are sort of glossy looking like there is a tiny bit of liquid there.  I examined my bras for signs of leaking but have found none.  However, when I squeeze it, either a tiny bit of clearish liquid will come out or a thicker white paste-like substance will.  I mean the amount is so tiny it is probably the size of a pen mark.  So does anyone else experience this or am I the only weirdo squeezing my nipples?  Should I be prepared for leakage to start soon based on this??

    Its totally normal and some lactation consultant say its really good to prime the breast for colostrum the few weeks before labor.

    Hey!  I noticed this a few weeks ago, but it is still only the tiny bit (now I'm 30 weeks).  No leakage yet!  Hope you stay leak-free, too!  :)

    Earlier this week I had tiny amount of clear liquid leak out when I squeezed mine.  It's the only time I've ever experienced this.  I have nothing helpful to tell you, other then you're not alone.  I am hoping someone else has more info b/c I was wondering about this myself.

    I've had that since 26 weeks or so, and as of now (36 wks) no nipple leaks for me.

    LOL. I love this post- I did the same thing the other day. I haven't leaked since. But it is good to know our bodies know what to do and how to prepare on their own.

    Funny to see this post today -- this just started happening to me yesterday. I actually got all excited thinking wow, I'm really going to be a mommy soon! Hopefully this doesn't mean they go into full leaking mode...!

    Same thing happening here --- no leakage but with some probing and proding I get some juices peeking out.  Pretty weird - I also find that that milk dries out and gets crusty.
