We got the graco my ride 65. It is the only 40 pounds rear facing seat available...and with my chunky guy we needed that extra 5 pounds. So far so good! No complaints here. The seat costs around $150.

I have a Roundabout. I need to get another one and I have been interested in the Graco My Ride 65.

I got the Birtax Blvd CS for my car. But we cannot afford 3 of them.
So for DH's car and Grandma's car, the Evenflo Triumph (about $130) and the Cosco Scenera (around 50-60 dollars) come highlyl recommended and get great safety ratings.
Re: Convertible Carseat
I just ordered this one from Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000YBM2V0/ref=ox_ya_oh_product.
We haven't installed it yet, but it got really good reviews. It goes up to 65 pounds and can be used rear-facing.
