Do you decorate for Halloween?

I love decorating for Halloween.  My house is the one that the kids all want to come to first.  When my mom sold her house and moved in to a condo she gave me all her decorations. At Christmas this year a good family friend passed away; she loved Halloween and had a huge amount of decorations.  Her Mom gave them all to me.  I am so excited about decorating this year.  lol.

  • This is our first year in our house so I am totally going to decorate for Halloween!  There are plenty of kids in the neighborhood, so I really hope we get some trick or treaters :)
  • I have done a few decorations but I am sure I will be doing much more now that I can use DD as an 'excuse'. :)
  • No, I do minimal decorating for holidays... as in a few things inside the house at Christmas...
  • Halloween is of my favorite holidays...we go all out...my hubby builds a huge grave yard with tombstones and coffins and we decorate our whole front porch with cobb webs and a bunch of other stuff. Our neighbors love what we do with the house every year.

  • I put cool candles in the windows, and have a light-up ghost thing hanging from the porch light. I also put spider-webs in the bushes. Nothing fancy.?
What do you do to your house? I bet it looks way cool!
  • Yeah I used to work for one of the creepiest magiacian/comiediens in Las Vegas and so Halloween has ALWAYS been a big deal.  Also just my family growing up was always into everything creepy and crawly.  So Halloween is a huge deal for me.

Last year though DH felt guilty the house was soooo creepy.  He said it wasn't right to do that with small kids Sad  So this year will be a more cheery Halloween decor (assuming I have time to get new decorations).  I dunno I am a little sad about this.  I miss my haunted home.

  • Yep!  I have about 10x more outside stuff for Halloween than I do for Christmas.  I was actually thinking about this last night, I think that Halloween is my favorite holiday.

  • I don't have a grave yard and tombstones (yet!) but I put up lights-skeleton heads/ghosts and orange Christmas'ish lights.  I have some bats that I hang and a big witch.  This year I will have some giant Jack-o-lantern metal cut out things.  Cobwebs and spiders too :)  We always carve 3 or 4 pumpkins too.

Definitely sounds like the "fun house" for the kids to visit! That is awesome. :)

  • I do more generic fall decorations.  I do haystacks and corn stalks with pumpkins and a scarecrow.  Inside I put out some harvest decorations.  Nothing scary, you guys are getting me inspired though.

  • We do! I love Halloween! DH wants to do the yard really creepy this year!
  • No, we don't decorate but will probably start as kids get older.

  • Outside?  Yes.  Inside?  Maybe a little.  Most of the surfaces that I have to put decorations on Ben can get to...so it doesn't leave me with many options.

  • Yes!  I love Halloween and any holiday for that matter!  I decorate for them all!

  • Yep! We love Halloween! It was kind of strange when people came over after her baptism last October because the outside of our house was fully decorated for Halloween.
