NBR: My wedding rings switched hands last night

So I woke up last night to go to the bathroom and felt odd, so I grabbed my left hand to realize that my wedding rings we gone. I freaked out, because I never take them off. When I got to the bathroom, my engagement ring was on my right hand and the band was missing. I checked the bed, and placed neatly under my pillow was my wedding band...like I had left it there for the ring fairy to bring me loads of money. WTF? I don't take my rings off and it's hard to get them off. I have no earthly idea how they came off and got on to my other hand, etc. Has this happened to anyone else? I was hotter than blazes last night so I can't imagine they slipped off.

  • You probably did it in your sleep. I wear ear plugs to sleep sometimes when my DH snores and one morning I awoke with one in my mouth. Thank god I didn't swallow it.

  • No never happened and that is very strange! lol ring fairy
  • Mabst...too funny...and kind of gross!! lol
  • OK, both the OP and the one about the earplugs are hilarious!  WTF?  That really is weird. Probably some form of sleep walking except with rings. As for the ear plug...mmm...I got nothing. Dreaming of eating cheetos?
  • Ewww to the ear plugs.  As for the rings yes I have had it happen.  I usually end up putting them on the bedside table.  I find it usually happens when I have an active dream...aka I am going  swimming or playing tennis...yes my mind gets really creative while it sleeps and does things I do during the day...doh.

Anyways thankfully I am always able to find them in the morning and usually its only my college ring that is taken off (I only take my wedding rings off to swim...I apparently play tennis in my sleep more often).  So I don't worry to much about it...now.  I figure I still have a greater chance of losing my rings doing everyday things since I have no knuckles and my rings have been known to fly off and hit the wall across the room...I can't get the rings any smaller and have them fit.

  • LMAO about the ring fairy.
