What do you do if your LO has a bad reaction to food?

We are just starting solids and DS threw up 2 days in a row a few hours after having oatmeal.  We stopped the oatmeal and he has been fine.  He had no problem with rice cereal. 

Do we try the oatmeal again in a few weeks?  Do we call the pedi about a possible allergy?  I have food allergies and so the pedi has me being careful about what I eat while bfing.  I don't know if that should make us more concerned or doesn't matter.

    I would just not give the food again until you can talk to the pedi. My dd got blotches around her eye from apples and from peaches. My pedi had just said to wait a month and try the food again but we don't have a family history of food allergies. My dd was fine when I tried the apples again about a month after she had the reaction, haven't tried peaches again.
