  • We just had a discussion about this book today.. My friend has it and she mentioned something about it saying that by 18 months, baby should be saying 6-word strings (sentences)!!! I thought Whaaaaaaaaaaat?!?! And decided I would not be getting this book.

She is reading a few other books, but she said she was almost positive that's what it said in WTE.

NO it does not say that.  It says "should be able to" say 6 words.  6 individual words.  Not in sentences.  They wont be able to make 6-word sentences for a long time.

I like the book, pretty much the same as the first year.  Its good for reference, etc.

ok that is reassuring to hear! :) That's what I thought too.. 6 words, not sentences! I told her that and said I didn't even think 2 words together was a 2-year milestone and she said, nope, 6-words-together. I thought that sounded crazy! LOL

  • I got it at a consignment store for $5.  I'm not in love with it, but haven't found anything better.  If you liked WTETFY, it's pretty much the same.
