Follow up on my minor freakout yesterday (RE bleeding after sex)

Thanks to all the people who have been sending me thoughts and prayers.  So here's the recap in case you did not read my post:

Had a little bleeding almost immediately after sex on Monday night.  Freaked out, of course, and went to the MW to hear the hb...and could not find it because my uterus is tilted.  Freaked out even more because I HAD heard the hb by some miracle a week ago.  She sent me a for an HCG quant. 

I just got the first blood test result back and my HCG is 110,050.  She said that is definitely on the high end for the 2-3 month range, which is a really good sign.  She said she would not even advise me to get the second one because at this point in the pregnancy it could level off or even go down a little bit and it would just freak me out to see it get lower.  She said I could come back in on Friday or early next week and try to hear the heartbeat again because my uterus could be tipping forward by then (I will be in my 12th week) and if they don't hear the hb again, then we can get the second HCG or check my cervix or whatever.  But basically she said that it looks really good and she does not think that if something was wrong the numbers would be this high.  So that is good news!  Still tough for me because it is not conclusive and I am a worrywort...it is still POSSIBLE that something happened to the baby and it just did not catch up to my numbers yet...but I am counting this blessing and maybe trying to hear a HB again on Friday or Monday.  I just wish my silly uterus would face the right way!!!

    Congrats, that is good news. ?Also, if they do an ultrasound you will be able to see the heart beating, so if you still can't hear it you can get some reassurance that way. ?

    Glad things are going good. Though I personally wouldn't get any more hcg level's done. I heard after a certain point they are not good to measure if the baby is developing right. I would just ask for an u/s if you have anymore problems.

    I agree with you.  I don't want to get more hcg levels done because they are unreliable at this point.  I am trying to avoid asking for an u/s because I have had two already.  I am not due for another one until 20 weeks and I do not know if insurance would cover another one.  I will only ask for another if I start bleeding again or have severe pain or something.  My midwife's practice does not have an in-office place for ultrasounds...they have to send me elsewhere, which is why they cannot just check me out while I am there.  So insurance knows every little time I order one.

    just rememeber that spotting doesn't automatically mean something is wrong. Hope you don't have anymore but just in case.
