DHEA

Has anyone taken this to help your AMH or FSH?  I'm getting a perscription called in for me and just wondered if it helped others on here.  Also I have to go in for blood work before I start it and then go in 2 weeks after to make sure it is working.  I think the RE is also a vampire...maybe I've been reading too much of the Twilight series.

Re: DHEA

  • LOL! I think mine might be a Vampire too then!   I don't know much about DHEA but I think I have seen some girls taking it along with the POM, wheatgrass, pineapple core and the such.

Speaking of Vampires, and since I'm assuming you like the Twilight series...do you watch True Blood??

  • I figured I'd try POM to see what happens too, I know a lot of folks don't like the taste but I really don't mind it.

I don't watch True Blood but I may have to start. Is it good?

  • I don't know anything about DHEA but I had to laugh at your Twilight comment. I am officially obsessed as well.

I also started watching True Blood, but be warned it is nothing like Twilight. Other than having vampires in it.

I looove True Blood...like Nikki said, nothing like Twilight, much more "adult" and I tend to like scary, horror and stuff like that...and I really have a thing for Vampires...ever since I read Stephen King's Salem's Lot in high school.

  • I keep resisting True Blood because I haven't seen season one.  Is it something I could pick up, or should I just wait until I watch #1 and catch up on ondemand?

You would get along with my sister so well. She loves all of the creepy stuff, and it is very fitting for her, she was born on Halloween.

And like taratru said is this something we can pick up in the middle or shoue we start from the beginning?

  • You would probably be better off starting from the beginning...I think HBO has it OnDemand...so you could probably get caught up real quick.

I also read all the books this year...and I really liked those too...now I have to wait for a new one to come out. The books are slightly different form the series though.

Gee Xine...sorry to hijack your post with talk of True Blood :)

I hope you still heart me ;)

  • I've been taking DHEA for about a month.  Not sure if it's doing anything yet (self medicating, bad me) but I did get AF on my own in July which I usually don't.  Don't know if it was a fluke - we'll see if she shows up again.

Can't comment on the Twilight series, but wanted you to know you weren't the only one trying the DHEA. GL!

Thanks lilacfritz. I'm going to be taking 75mg, half in the am and half in the pm. It is being perscribed by the RE. We'll see what happens.

  • Hi, Mexine!

Here you are looking for info, and I'm going to ask you for some.

What does your RE say the DHEA will do for you?

I know what Dr. Google says, but he also says things are inconclusive, blah blah. If your doc has seen results with this stuff, I'm going to have to talk to my doc about getting me some.
