Four weeks = 1 month??

My husband and I are debating if our little girl is one month old. She is four weeks today. I say that she is one month old, but he says she isn't a month old until the 21st, since she was born on July 21st.

So, is she not one month until the 21st? WDYT?

I agree with your DH. A month is rarely 4 weeks.

My DS will be 5 months tomorrow. He is more than 20 weeks. 4 weeks does not a month make. I went by weeks until about 12 weeks, then switched to months. My DS is 4 months until tomorrow when he will be 5 months.

I agree with your DH. A month is only 4 weeks once a year. Plus, if you go by the 4 week rule, she'd be 12 months (1 year) about 4 weeks shy of her actual birthday.

Also, it's much easier to just remember the 21st each month rather than tracking every four weeks. And it makes more sense because on the 21st of next July, you'll say she's a year right? You won't say she's a year after counting each month of her life as four weeks.
