J won't drink milk. Not chocolate milk, not almond milk (pedi suggestion), not warm, not cold. NOTHING! I'm not sure what else to do. I know he needs to be getting the fat, calcium, or whatever else milk has in it, but obviously not happening. Suggestions? Advice? Anything b/c I'm pretty desperate...
Re: anyone's DC not drink milk?
According to my pedi, it's not that getting milk is important, it's getting dairy. It doesn't have to be in liquid milk format for that. Our pedi wasn't at all concerned about her not drinking milk as long as she gets dairy from other sources each day.
I hate that too!
This is us exactly. I loathe milk...seriousy I'll gag if I try to drink it. J does like yogurt & cheese though, so at least he's getting dairy.
Mikey - I'm definitely going to try the smoothie thing. He LOVES fruit, so I can add a bit of fruit in too!
Thanks for the suggestions ladies!!
I don't like to drink milk, but I will eat it on cereal and I like cheese, yogurt, etc.
Camryn is just like me. I gave up on getting her to drink after a couple of months and I honestly I haven't really tried anymore. Our Pedi doesn't think it's a big deal. He is fine with her eating other sources of dairy and doesn't really like to see kids drink tons and tons of milk instead of eating a wide variety of foods.
I wouldn't stress too much about it and just talk to your Dr. office and see what they advise.
