Friday i had my d&C, this was my 1st time having one... I was wondering how long do you bleed after it??? I'm still getting blood on my pad but its not as heavy. It started to turn dark today, unlike the days before and it was bright red. I also started to get my cramping yesterday and my pelvic bone hurts! I feel like I need a donut to sit on...

Also question, after your m/c did you have to get a shot?? Umm... it was Rhoplylac, I have never had to get one before... And damn did that hurt!!!

I did not have a D & C, but my Dr. told me I could have bleeding and cramping for a couple of weeks.

I have to go in tomorrow for the Rhoplylac shot. I have O-negative blood, which is why I guess I'm one of the lucky ones to get the shot. Nurse said it has something to do with ensuring my blood doesn't create anti-bodies to attack baby's blood (if it had a different blood type). Shot prevents anemia, shock, and kidney failure. I wish you hadn't typed it hurts:)

I'm sorry for your loss. It seems unfair that along with the grief of the m/c there is prolonged cramping, bleeding, etc.

With my D&C I had spotting for 6 weeks afterwards. There were a couple of days that I thought I was all done, but then it would start again. Once AF showed, everything went back to normal.

I had bleeding for 14 days after my D&C... Most days were really heavy then it tapered off. I also had the shot. I had it twice 'cause the hosp I had the D&C at didn't get the records from the hosp I had my ER visit. It's a very important shot for future pregnancies tho! I'm B-Neg

I did not have a D&C but I did have the shot, but mine was called Rhogam. I'm A- blood type.

I'm still bleeding 4 weeks out (from spotting to bleeding to spotting to bleeding more). I don't know if I'm beginning my period now or not. My dr thought I would be beginning my period based on what I told her and to call back in 5 days if I'm still bleeding as they'll want to check me out.

Ditto only my spotting was for about 2.5 to 3 weeks, but I had m/c naturally for 2 days before my D&C

My doc put me on a medication that stops bleeding. I had my D&C on Thursday night and just stopped bleeding today.

It can take a while and unfortunately there really is no normal. I have bled for anywhere between 2-9 weeks......and even then you may have spotting off and on and even more bleeding off and on for a bit. I am still spotting from my D&C 26 days ago.

I had my d&c on 8/6 and am still bleeding-grrrr. Hopefully yours stops much sooner because to me the bleeding is a constant reminder of what happened. I'm Rh negative also so I was given the Rhogam shot, but I asked that they give that to me while I was under. That sucks it hurt since you've been dealing wtih enough! I am so sorry you had to go through this and wish you a speedy recovery, physically and emotionally.
