It differs for everyone. I was induced - started at 6am. Doc came in at 9am and said the other 2 he was inducing was done-- but I had complications and ending up having a c-section in the end.
I was induced one day after my EDD. I was admitted at 10am, started the pitocin at 2pm, epi at 6pm and pushed M out at 10:34pm. It was a great experience, even though they had to give me 2 epis cause the guy messed up the first one. But it was a very easy delivery!
I wish you the best of luck! Hope to see you over here soon!
12 hours from start to finish, but I had the anesthesiologist ready and waiting, so I only had about 1/2 hour of bad contrax...I slept about 8 of the 12 hours Honestly it wasn't bad at all, especially with the epi, good luck! you will do great!
Induced, with Cytotec, Tuesday morning at 8:00a. Sent home at 4:30p b/c of slow progress and told to come back if anythng changed. Water broke at 7:30p, DD born Wednesday afternoon at 4:20p.
Not everyone is in labor so long though. I have had two friends in the last two months induced with pitocin at 8a and delivered by 3p.
Good luck!

The first time they started cervadil around 11:30 pm, then pitoci around 8-8:30 the next morning. I was fully dilated and started pushing around 8:30 pm and pushed for two hours before my dr said it wasn't going fast enough and made me have a c section.
The second one went much faster. I was already 4 cm when I got to the hospital at 7 am. They broke y water and started pitocin at 8:30-9 and I started pushing at 4. DD finally arrived at 7, but that's an unusually long time to push and they had to assist with forceps.
My dotor said that I had particularly difficult deliveries though, so don't worry too much!
Cervadil at 9 p.m. Pitocin at 5 a.m. the next morning. Contratctions had been happening all night, but I started feeling them at 7 a.m. Got epidural at 1 p.m., at 4 cm. Started pushing at 5:00 p.m. Baby arrived at 6:34 p..m. You will be okay!
Admitted at 7am, started pitocin at 8. Got the epi around 1, started pushing around 2:30, and she arrived at 3:12. Something no one told me was that the pitocin makes you swell..big time. My feet were HUGE, and of course I freaked out. Its normal, but something I wish they would have told me about. Good luck!
Went in at 5, started induction at 7, broke my water at 1, and started pushing at about 5:30am the next day...pushed for 3 hours and finally pushed him out at 8:54am with the help of forceps because he was face up instead of the usual face down.
I was admitted at midnight, cervidil at 2am and 6am, water broken by doctor and pitocin at 10am, got an epidural at 1:30pm, slept for a while (although I was freezing cold and had 5 blankets on me and I was still shivering), started pushing at 6:10pm and DD was born at 6:42pm...my doc barely made it in time. It was a great experience for me Good luck!
9pm cervadil, next morning 8 am pitocin. Cervix remained closed baby started to distress 16 hr induction failed.Had c/s. Not the greatest example for you...but c/s was not bad either.
Well, my water broke at 4am and I started having mild contractions on my own. I was still only dilated to 2 (same as my last dr appt a week before) so at about 11am they started me on pitocin. It dilated me to 4 and made my contractions very painful and only 30 seconds apart. Finally at 11:30pm, we decided on a c-section because I was still only dilated to 4 and my water had been broken for almost 20 hours. Sorry, probably not what you wanted to hear.
I was induced on a Monday night. DD was born on Thursday morning.
Good luck!
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind."

4 hours, pushed for 10 minutes. I wasn't planning on having an epidural but caved and it was AMAZING!! I was 80% effaced and 3-4 cm when I went in though. I was induced at 37 weeks for hypertension. Good luck!
I had to be induced at 34w2d due to severe pre-e. They started magnesium and cervadil (to soften my cervix) the evening before the induction. Pitocin was started at 6am, the doctor broke my water at 9am, and Norah arrived at 5:34pm. Around 5:25, my doctor said we needed to do a c-section, but Norah had other ideas and made a quick entrance!
admitted for low fluid, began induction around 10 pm started pushing the next day at 4:20 pm and baby born and 4:41pm! It was actuallya great experience.
Admitted Wednesday night for cervadil. By 8 am Thursday was put on Pitocin. I was ready to push at 12:45 pm Thursday and pushed for 20 minutes.
My body was also not ready to go into labor so I went from no progress to ready to go in that amount of time. My only suggestion is to trust your doctors and nurses and everything will be okay. Oh - and eat before you go in. They let me eat breakfast on Thursday, but unfortunately the Pitocin made me throw it up later in the morning.
Induced at 12:30PM and was 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. By 4PM I was 5cm dilated and still 50% effaced. My contractions were 50 seconds long and 2 minutes apart. By 7PM I was down to 4cm dilated and around 25% effaced. Contractions were 1 minute long and 1 minute apart. I continue to labour until 10:45PM when I was sent for an emergency c-section because they were having a hard time finding Ben's heartbeat and mine was all over the place. Also because he was trying to come over through the side of his head.
So I guess I laboured for just over 10 hours before being sent for c-section.

39 hours.. 20 without epi (big mistake on pitocin) 19 hours on epi (HEAVEN)
45 minutes to push.. GL!

I've been induced twice both for medical reasons
The first time they started cervadil around 11:30 pm, then pitoci around 8-8:30 the next morning. I was fully dilated and started pushing around 8:30 pm and pushed for two hours before my dr said it wasn't going fast enough and made me have a c section.

Cervidil at 11pm, water broke next day at 7am on its own, delivered at 1pm
Pushed for an hour and a half. VERY good induction experience!
6 hours, pushed for 10 minutes.
Good luck!
6 hours
just RELAX
First baby 24 hours and pushed for 20 minutes. Second baby 8 hours and pushed for 8 minutes.
Well it varies for everyone. First baby I was induced on a Tuesday morning, had her Friday morning after almost 4 hours of pushing.
Second baby I was induced Tuesday morning, pushed/labored down for 5 hours Friday morning and ended up with a csection.
5/25 - Induced using folley catheter - 12 noon
5/26 - Started Pitocin - 7 am
Delivery wasn't until 9:20 that night via c-section
So I guess a total of 33 hours start to finish
26 hours.
Went in at 5, started induction at 7, broke my water at 1, and started pushing at about 5:30am the next day...pushed for 3 hours and finally pushed him out at 8:54am with the help of forceps because he was face up instead of the usual face down.
pitocin drip and water broken around 7 a.m. epidural around 9:15 a.m. began pushing at 11:45 a.m. and he was here at 12:33 p.m.
it was an awesome experience and went really well.
best of luck tomorrow!
Started pitocin @ 5:30am, broke my water @ 7:30am, got epi @ 10:30, started pushing @ 1:30pm and he was born @ 2:24PM!
Just 6 minutes shy of 9 hours of labor, it wasn't too bad I was only in serious pain right before the epi. You'll be fine! Good Luck!
I was induced on a Monday night. DD was born on Thursday morning.
Good luck!
Pitocin at 5:30a
Epidural at 9:45a
DD born at 1:04p
Pushed through 6 or 7 contractions.
Very pleasant experience! Good luck with yours!
16 hours -- I pushed for 3.
