I'm looking for fake crocs and bento boxes for my toddler son (2.5). I bought him some crocs at walmart at the beginning of the summer, but can't find them anywhere now. I really don't want to have to spend $30 on the real thing! As for bento boxes, I just want something small for his lunch & easy for him to open. I don't want to have to send him to school with a huge lunch bag and adult sized containers. I like laptop lunches, but again, don't want to have to spend $35 on a lunch box for the kiddo! If you've seen anything around town that would help, please let me know! Thanks!
Re: XP: Fake crocs and bento boxes...anywhere around town?
Another nestie here suggested how to make a "ghetto bento box" and that's what I've used for DD for almost a year now. You can get individual silicone baking cups from BB&B and place them in a sandwhich sized plastic container (Tupperware/Glad whatever). There you go, Toddler sized servings! If they'll heat up food where your kid goes, it's nice because they can take out the strawberries and just nuke the hot dog bites etc.
ETA: I think I'm going to swing by The Container Store today and see what they have. There's some interesting stuff online, hopefully some of it is in the store too!

speaking of bento boxes...
I just saw this web site yesterday and loved the idea, so I'm passing it along in case you're stumped for lunch ideas.

My shopping loot from the Container store!
2 - "Bright&Healthy" Lunch Kits - $3.99 Each
1 pack - "Tellfresh" single 1/2 cup rectangular cups with lids - $6.99. The ones on the website are clear but the ones in the store are in different colors like tupperware, the lid is still clear. One fits perfectly inside the above Lunch Kit, and there's room to add a silicone cup or two as well for divided spaces. Two Tellfresh containters do not fit but 4 silicone cups fit nicely.
So for about $15 ($20 if you go buy silicone cups) you can DIY a pretty sweet Bento Box! You could also buy the disposable foil cupcake cups without feeling TOO guilty methinks
We also go more of these because DD got one for Christmas and has since chewed through their "straw". 2 - "Snack Time" Insulated Sippy cups - $4.99 each. I only plan to use the top but the bottoms are good for serving DD different stuff at home. She LOVES the cups. I love that they keep her milk cold.
Hope something in there helps! ETA: The top isn't easy to open, an adult would still have to do that part.
