WDYT - Emmett?

We are still deciding on names but DH threw out the name Emmett. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. He, obviously, likes older names...and I do too, but, I'm not sure about this one.

WDYT?

ETA: The middle name would be James

    If it weren't for Twilight I would like it a lot. Since you probably aren't going to take a silly teenage romance novel into account when naming your child, I say go for it :)

    lol, funny thing is that I've read Twilight (I'm a fan but not a fanatic). I mentioned that Emmett is a main character in the book, to DH, but he doesn't seem to mind.

    Never read Twilight but Emmett makes me think of the football ball player Emmett Smith and Doc Brown from Back to the Future. Regardless, its not a bad name.

    If we have a boy we are naming him Emmett Jole after my grandpa. Emmett was his middle name. So I LOVE your name

    I love it!  DH and I threw out Emmett the other day to...

    My only concern is if it will become popular due to the twilight series?

    Emmett and Everett were on our list along with DS #1's name Elliott.  I like Emmett! :)

    And the first thing I thought of was Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas, an old Jim Henson Christmas show. I LOVE it, but it's funny when a puppet otter is the first thing you think of.
