Re: Unpopular Opinion Sunday

  • I thought the same thing until my Older DD would ONLY wear those when she was about 18months. She would cry and cry when we'd put other shoes on her.

  • I also think Robeez are fugly.  I like Miley's new song.  I am not going to take the bottle away from Brody when he turns one.
  • I don't think George Clooney is hot

  • I do not think Brad Pitt is good looking.

Not popular in my IL's fam:  I am thrilled that my son sucks his thumb and don't care for how long (I was 10 when I quit Surprise )

I'm not taking her bottle away either and she's being "held back" in day care because of it. They don't allow bottles in Infant B, so they're keeping her in Infant A until we ditch it...she may be the oldest kid ever in Infant A if she chooses to hold onto it for a while Surprise And I don't feel bad about it - its a stupid rule.

  • I love doing manual labor - indoors, outdoors, building things, etc.
  • i'm registering for baby items for DC#2 even thought they'll be close in age.

Not so much for others to purchase from a registery, but just so I can get a discount on items "leftover" (which they all will be b/c I'm not having a shower! haha)

Same here.  Yesterday my sister said it wouldn't be so cute later... pretty sure I don't care.  If she likes to suck her thumb... let her suck her thumb!  Yes

This made me lol!  I love it!

  • I don't think smokers sould be allowed to smoke where there are others present.  I hate that I have to smell and breathe their dirty habit.

TOTALLY AGREE... we got one pair as a gift, and I promptly regifted them. Pedipeds, however = super cute.

  • I think robeez are ugly BUT they are the only shoes that fit on lo's fata$$ feet!

I think lifetime is the only channel needed, ever - I love it!

  • I hate the word "celebutante," and really, anyone it could be used to describe (Hiltons, Kardashians, etc.).

  • I try to buy all organic. I think it is healthier for my family. I dont care what has been proven or not.
  • Oh, one more thing - I am making a registry for gifts for Baby J's first birthday. However, I will not be advertising but when and if people ask what they should buy I can happily show them. I really do not want a bunch of random crap that I will end up just giving away.

I agree about the Robeez.  They are UGGGLY!  But I hadn't heard of Pedipeds and OMG they are adorable.  I will be going to Nordstrom to DS fitted and his first pair of "good" shoes AKA the Pedipeds!

I totally hear you!  I just hope he doesn't get a ton of clothing.  Most of our friends and family know that he is allergic to tagless clothing but I am afraid we'll get a ton and then he can't even wear it!

These are the Robeez DS wore until a month ago (yes size 0-6 months). I thought they were cute.

I wish that smokers were not allowed to smoke within 50 feet of a door or around kids. Hate walking by all of the smokers so that I can get into the mall. effers. But they "have a right to smoke." Blow it out yourass.

I also think that being a SAH parent is a luxery and you are not entitled to it. My SIL seems to think she is entitled to it and this has financially ruined their family. Awesome.

DS birthday party is next weekend and the other SIL is coming. I purposely planned the party for a day she had to work because I did not want her to come. MIL brought over some birthday presents for DS on Friday because she didn't want SIL to see how much she spends on DS. MIL spends more on DS than her two step grandkids (SIL's kids from various situations). SIL is simply a rude pig with poor parenting skills. Ugh.

Since I am on my soapbox, let me say how poorly behaved many children and PARENTS were at portraint innovations this morning. I wanted to throat punch this one dad. He wasn't watching his 2 year old and the boy climbed up onto the leggo table nearly kicking my DS in the face. DH was there with DS and said to the child "you shouldn't be climbing on there." The dad now decides to parent---he races over and pulls the kid off of the table. Instead of correcting the child, he screams at my DH "DON"T TELL MY KID WHAT TO DO." I tunred to the saleslady and told her to get our pics off of the printer now because we needed to go.

  • I don't think Clooney, Pitt, or Pattinson are cute.

I watched the movie Twilight several times and I just started reading the book.

    I love Pedoodles.

As a teacher, mother, and citizen of the lovely US who has had the time to observe parents, I can say wholeheartedly that there are some shitastic people out there who call themselves parents. I'd like to smack them silly. I loathe them for not doing their job of raising a child to believe that honesty and respect are important. It is unfortunate that their spawn will grow into adults who can't function in society. Unless of course by some miracle their children learn to be kind, honest, trustworthy, respectful, responsible, and one who believes that integrity is important.

  • apparently hatred for robeez isn't such an unpopular opinion.
