I had no idea there was more than one way to pronounce it. Some of my family pronounces it one way and the others pronounce it the way I do (and of course I'm right, I'm her mother!)....

I say Uh Meel Ya.

My SIL whose name IS Amelia, says Ah Meel EE Ah. Her mom says it the same way I do.

Her sisters say Ah Mil Ya.

Her grandmother says Uh MEEEEEEEL EE AH
