I honestly don't get it. I have heard women banter back and forth seeming to joke about their significant others until it becomes a match of who has the worst guy or who has more to deal with under the pretense of sharing and venting. I have seen women obsess over men/things/food (when on diets) that they can't have but want and chase none the less. Why do we seem to love to torture ourselves? I'm usually pretty good about not getting all "woman-y" as my husband puts it, but last month (month 7 TTC) I broke. I know that's not long compared to many, but I broke like a Dollar store glass. All the work put into TTC got to me and I was doing better this month, reminding myself that it will happen, I need to not stress, we haven't been at this that long, ect ect to try to stay sane. That was until tonight. Apparently I wasn't depressed enough last month so I decided to hurt myself more by Netflixing "Juno" and had totally forgotten about it until tonight. Ugh. I am so glad DH isn't here to see this train wreck. Okay, I don't know what anyone would respond to this, but sometimes you just have to let it out. So...yeah. If you're TTC, don't Netflix movies that will make you more upset, it's so not worth it. That's it for now, night all.
Re: Why do women torture themselves?
* Hugs*
I don't have a good answer to your question. I've also been in a funk tonight - even though I'm not due for AF until next week, I've somehow convinced myself that I'm not KU and therefore am all down and depressed. It's totally silly, seeing as how this is only our third cycle, but still.
So, sending happy thoughts your way and less upsetting Netflix picks!
No, I was in such a funk last month that I just wanted to trigger a good cry (it's hard for me to cry usually) so I could get all the emotional crap out of my system and be done with it so I could move on and go back to being happy. I just needed to let out a little steam. Plus I heard it was a good movie from some friends who apparently have bad taste IMO. Well, steam released I guess and I do feel better it just ended up being weird timing since I had forgotten about it.
Thanks Chickpea, LOL, you're right, I'm gonna have to go through the picks and be sure I didn't do any other stupid choices. I hope that you'll get your BFP despite convincing yourself. Sending baby dust your way!
Thanks, Dani!
Some choices you might want to delete: Knocked Up, 9 Months, Baby Mama... Um, I'm sure there are more, but those are off the top of my head!
I know I need to not stress about this and let go of having control, but I've been cramping this entire week. I don't normally cramp this early before AF, but who knows what it means. Hard to not worry for a natural born worrier!
LOL. True.
Kdodge is high on life.
Hugs, not drugs.
According to my 420 friend I can't understand because I haven't "been there" or even smoked a cigarette but whatev to each her own.
I know this is late coming out, kinda in an insomnia funk right now. So I decided to put my two cents worth in.
Dani and Chickpea: Hang in there girls, the worst thing you can do is have a negative attitude. I was talking to my mom on the phone the other night and she told me there was no point in having a bad attitude so early on in TTC.
You know bad karma and stuff, plus making yourself in anyway feel depressed is not good on the hormones...so I'm sending positive thoughts both of your ways and also lots in lots of baby dust!!
Are you both charting? I just started on fertilityfriend.com and I'm finding it comforting that I am taking charge of something!
