We really were happy with our experience there. The nurses, generally, were great, in both L&D and post-partum. The private room was definitely worth springing for, for us, since it's not standard, like it is in some of the other hospitals around here.

This!!! Exactly.
We randomly got a room in the recently renovated area, on the upper floor - I don't know if you'll have a choice, but it can't hurt to ask. The rooms are bigger and the floor less crowded, and it's recently redone, so it's really nice.
They're fabulous! We had a phenomenal delivery nurse who just rocked. The night shift nurse was so patient when I tried to have DS sleep with me the first night. The food was actually pretty good. The only thing I can think of that could have been improved was the shower- the water pressure was eh and it took forever for the hot water to kick in but it was big and spacious. Seriously though, when going through something like this...that was the least of my worries. I would definitely deliver any future babies there.
Sibley was indeed great. All the things that count, like the nurses, delivery room, etc. were perfect. Postpartum room wasn't great. We were on the 3rd floor and it was definitely worth it for a private room, but it was so tiny we could barely have visitors. The bathroom wasn't great either. If you get put on the 7th floor, it's a much better deal. That was such a small detail, though, that overall, the experience was great.
Re: Delivering at Sibley: any advice? stories to share?
