Mum Mums if he doesn't hold things himself?

Can I give my son these for teething if he doesn't really hold teething rings or washclothes to his mouth for himself?  I read that they shouldn't have finger foods or puffs until they can put them into their mouths on their own.  Is this kinda the same thing?

He's 5.5 mos, teething like crazy but we've yet to have a tooth poke through.  This is one of the last things I can think of to help him.  Its this or buy the damned Sophie thing.

  • give him the teething rings!  dd can sorta hold them and if she drops them i'll just hold them in her mouth (the frozen ones) and she goes to town!

  • I don't know if Mum Mums would help with teething - they are the consistency of big rice krispys.  Have you tried the Razberry yet?  I think that's less than the Sophie.

  • I don't think Mum Mums would help with teething either.  Maybe try those teething rings you can refrigerate.
