what temp do you give tylenol for?

99.7 and he feels really hot to the touch, even after I took off his sleep sack. he keeps whimpering and waking himself up and his nose is running. i went ahead and gave him the lowest dose...i hope i'm not overreacting.

(i know, I know this is a q for the doctor...just asking what YOU do.)

No teeth coming in that I know of, but he did have a little cereal last night and tonite...but i dont think that would be a reaction, do you?

  • Technically a fever is over 100.4 degrees. How are you taking his temperature?

  • Did you just start the cereal last night?  If not, I'm thinking it sounds more like teething.  DS didn't run a fever or have a runny nose but I've heard that these can be signs of teething.  Our pedi told us to call if the fever reaches 100.4 or above.  Oh and I would have given my ds the low dose of tylenol too.
