2nd Trimester

Has your Mama ever taught you manners?

I had my first "rude stranger comment" last night at Wal-Mart. This lady was standing next to me and asked when I was due, I said Jan 24th, and her mouth bout dropped open! And these words came out of her mouth " OMG YOUR HUGE" then continued to "YOU MUST BE HAVING TWINS, OR TRIPLES", then the worst part of it all, she laughs and says "YOUR GOING TO HAVE TO GET A CRANE TO START HELPING YOU GET UP" ......Needless to say she got a earful from my husband and I! Then I cried when I got in the car :( ha-ha Can you believe this? I still have ppl telling me that I don't even look pregnant, I have never got a ruder comment in my life. Some people shouldn't leave their house. ha-ha

  • Ugh, don't let her upset you. For some reason, pregnancy seems to break people's filters when they're speaking!

  • Nice to see you're laughing over it now... cause i'd be sitting it out in jail.

"I'm pregnant, what's your excuse" and God knows where it would have gone from there.

  • Oh my! That's so annoying! Some people are ridiculous!  Feel better!
  • How very rude of that woman! But I expect that from Walmart...
  • What an idiot. I'm sorry that happened!

  • That was SO rude!!! I'm sorry she said that to you. If it makes you feel any better, I'm due at the end of December, and I already look like I'm about 7 or 8 months pregnant. Everybody who asks when I'm due is really surprised to hear me say a date that's several months away instead of a few weeks or days!!!
  • I am so sorry. Years ago I had been nice and skinny and then had to start some medicine that made me gain lots of weight. Guess where it went. I got a bit more tush, a bit more tatas, but a HUGE belly and in no time people were asking about my pregnancy. I went through that for 7 years before actually getting pregnant.

However I had fun with it.

-"When are you due?" "I would assume 40 weeks after I get pregnant."

    -"Boy or girl?" "Neither."

-When they would touch my belly I would ask them if they were trying to see what I had for lunch because I wasn't pregnant.

After a few years of feeling horrible about my body, and trust me short of unhealthy dieting and surgery, I had tried many methods. I must confess I would feel vindicated when people made rude comments about my 'pregnancy' and I let them know I wasn't pregnant. Oh the looks on their faces. Some where very polite when asking, and would apologize quickly. Those were the only people I would feel somewhat guilty for making them look silly.
