first day of kindergarten for ds...anyone else?

What a morning. We woke up early to go eat breakfast out...but he decided he wanted to go to grandma?s for breakfast, so we drove across town and had breakfast. Walking into school was a tear-jerker for me...yikes! His classroom is the exact same classroom I was in for kindergarten...I thought that was neat. Especially since the school has been through renovations since then and added more classrooms. His teacher is really nice (we get our hair done at the same shop) and I couldn?t ask for a better teacher. When I was getting ready to leave I told him "I?m going to go now, or do you want me to stay a few minutes longer?" he said "A few minutes longer, please." Awhh...that?s when I almost cried. When I "left" a few minutes later, I stuck around in the hall and poked my head in the door a few times to spy on him, lol...he looked so grown up...I can?t believe he?s in kindergarten!!! The kids go half day until October and then they go a full day.

Anyone else have any first day of school stories???

    Awww hugs!!  I'm dreading the first day of kindergarten.  I told DH that I'll be the mom who sits in the car the whole day waiting for school to get out. 

    I would've spied on him too.  He'll be so excited to see you when you pick him up!
