Apparently belly dancing is supposed to be good for pg women. ?It helps loosen up all the joints and get the core muscles strengthened. ?I also heard that it was done by pg women in celtic cultures 100s of years ago. ?Sounds fun to me!?
I think belly dancing is really pretty..but this is funny to me. Usually the belly rolls in and out and all this crazy stuff, and with a beach ball under your skin that's not really possible. Haha. This seems more like hip and arm dancing to me than belly. Oh well, if it makes a woman feel good and gets them all stretched out - more power to you!
Absolutely! Belly dancing is perfect for pregnancy! I have several friends to attribute that and yoga to helping them relax and be more prepared for the hip-opening of birth!
Belly dancing is a really great way to stay in shape and help stretch muscles, tendons, etc. If I were still taking classes I'd totally preform while pregnant! What a beautiful way to express my feminine body: pregnant and belly dancing.
Re: Would You Belly Dance Pregnant?
Can't watch the video at work due to blocks but to answer the question:
Yes, I would. WHy not? lol.
yeah...this!
Exactly.
For me bellydancing is right up there with prenatal yoga as a great way to stretch and loosen the muscles - it really feels great.
I think the real question is: would you do bellydance while pregnant, film it and upload it to Youtube for the world to see? I, for one, would not.
