Hi ladies,

I am new to this and I have some questions for those who have been there.  I had my August prenatal visit Tuesday, and when she couldn't find a hb she sent me for an u/s to determine our baby stopped growing almost five weeks before.  I had a D&C yesterday.

By afternoon I could pee without it hurting, and the blood has slowed to a trickle.  Does anyone have any idea when I could expect to get a period after this?  Even though I am terrified to try again, some other part of me wants to chart again just so I know if I am ovulating.  I'm sure in time I will be ready to try again, and I don't want to look back and think boy I wish I knew what my cycles were for those months.

    I'm very sorry for your loss, I'm glad that you are feeling ok from the D&C.  Your period should come withing 4-6 weeks but can take up to 8 weeks.  If it takes longer than that I would call your doctor and let them know and see if they want you to wait or to have meds to induce your period.

    Take care, and I think you will know when you are ready, you'll just feel it.

    DD(9)DD(5.5)DS(3)DS(born 2/1/11) July 2006, lost a baby at 8 weeks, natural miscarriage , May 2009 lost Zoe Eliana at 17 weeks no reason known, possible under developed organs. Lost two more babies in September 2009 at 7 wks 4 days. Had myomectomy surgery to remove a large fibroid in November 2009.

    Sorry for your loss. I charted after my dnc because I couldn't take not knowing when af was coming and if I was late or pg. I o'ed on cd 56 and got pg that month. So it would have taken 9 long weeks to get af if I hadn't gotten pg. For me I knew I was willinging to try again and it was really the only thing that helped heal the pain. I was 11 weeks but baby was 5.

    I'm very sorry for your loss.  AF came about 5 weeks after my D&C.  4-6 weeks seems to be the average, although it has taken much longer for some of the girls.

    I am very sorry for your loss.  I bled for about 1 week after my d & c.  I was 9 wks, and our baby had grown to 8w 3d.  4 weeks ago I had the operation, and today dear old AF came back...
