I could have kissed Regis! He asked why she didn't just get rid of the cameras in order to keep her marriage together. Her response was that it was their means of providing for their children. REALLY? Because there are no other jobs out there. THEN she complains about the paparazzi, whatever lady you love it. I have no respect for Jon and Kate they are greedy people that put their own needs in front of their family/children! I used to love their show, but the ?celebrity? status ruined them.

That woman gets on my last nerve! If I ever had the opportunity to meet her, I'd give her a piece of my mind!
I cannot believe that she chose celebrity status over her family...thats just so wrong.
Agreed. I'm glad someone asked that question. I wondered the same thing. They are very selfish and it looks to me like she enjoys the paparazzi.

Why hasn't anyone asked Jon this - seems like he is way more into the media than she is. He seems like he just doesn't care.

I really did used to love J&K but it's pretty evident they are both money hungry people. Yes, most likely a normal job would not them enough money to support their family with a decent living. That being said, they have plenty of money now with all the book tours and interviews, that they need now just to fade away.
The part that makes me the most sick is that those poor children have to grow up with seperated parents. Coming from a broken family this is much worse than giving up the damn show just so you can buy a nice house and have nice cars. And do not even get me started on Jon! He thinks he is 21 again, blah. Grow up buddy, you have 8 kids.
Seems to me that having a set of loving parents (who love each other as well as their children) is more important than having a massive house on acreage. Plus, with all the "activities" and trips they go on, not to mention all of Kate's "spa treatments", you know that they are spending money that isn't exactly necessary to raise children.
They could have easily made it work, but Kate can't let go of the money.

Oh yes, he wanted to stop the show and that is when season 4 was ending. GEEEE, I wonder why their marriage didn't last? He wanted to stop and she could not give it up. She thinks that it is "the only way". Get a clue lady.

I've read where he's said it too, and I think it's funny that he has said this in interviews since he is now shopping around to get his own reality show.
I watched there splitting up episode and if I had to hear him say "I'm only 32" one more time I would have snapped. 32 is not 22 and I know 22 year olds ten times more mature than him. I know Kate has issues (lots of them) but he's such a huge d-bag. He made a concious choice to have all those kids and get involved with the TV show. Then he made and equally concious choice to check out of his responsibilities and his marriage.
Do I think she should have turned off the cameras for her kids - yes, but could it have done anything to save her marriage - no. She said this would have been where things ended up regardless of the cameras and to an extent I think that's true. He is who he is, and camera or not, he's decided he wants to be young and single and maybe a dad some of the time, perhaps. I think that would have happened anyway.
